Between sessions at the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), Project Pericles covered three major initiatives and highlighted the work more than 10 Periclean campuses this January. Sharing insights and resources from our initiatives is an important aspect of our work. A group of Periclean Presidents and Executive Director, Jan Liss led a session at the CIC’s Presidents Institute, January 4–7, 2020 in Marco Island, FL. In the session, “Approaches to Civic Engagement and Collaboration with the Local Community,” Connie Ledoux Book, President, Elon University; Marvin Krislov, President, Pace University; and David A. Thomas, President, Morehouse College, discussed curricular programs that strengthen critical thinking, skills, and social responsibility working with the local community. This session was based on the work of our Periclean Faculty Leaders.
Project Pericles presented three sessions at AAC&U’s 2020 Annual Meeting held January 22-25, 2020, in Washington, D.C. covering three major initiatives: Creating Curricular Coherence, Periclean Faculty Leadership (PFL) Program, and our Voting Modules.
This makes it 14 years in a row that Project Pericles presented work at AAC&U. Project Pericles thanks the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, the Eugene M. Lang Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Students Learn Students Vote, the Teagle Foundation, and Up to Us for their support. Comments are closed.
