As we grapple with the insurrection at the Capitol, Project Pericles remains committed to supporting the essential civic engagement and advocacy work of our students, staff, faculty, provosts, and presidents. Our mission of graduating students to be engaged and socially responsible civic leaders continues to be critical to ensuring the health of our democracy and society.
The Students Learn Students Vote Coalition (SLSV Coalition) has awarded $20,000 to Project Pericles to launch a new program, the Periclean Voter Engagement Fellows (PVEF).

Project Pericles, in collaboration with Up to Us, held a session at the 2020 Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (CLDE) Meeting on July 24th highlighting how Periclean faculty used the Voting Modules to implement deliberative dialogue discussions about pressing civic issues in their virtual classrooms.
During this extraordinary time in higher education, Project Pericles is delighted to announce that 25 faculty members from 19 Periclean institutions have been selected to teach new, innovative courses in The Andrew W. Mellon Periclean Faculty Leadership (PFL) Program™ in the Humanities.
In these unprecedented times, Project Pericles reaffirms our deep commitment to social and political justice and our programs that work with our campuses and their communities to effect the long-term systemic changes our nation needs.
Project Pericles Assistant Director, Arielle del Rosario, served as a panelist at AAC&U’s Faculty Friday Webinar, Democracy Despite Disruption: Improving Student Voter Engagement through Pedagogy on April 24.
We are thrilled that The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations (AVDF) has awarded $300,000 to Project Pericles to support a new Periclean Faculty Leadership (PFL)™ Program in STEM and Social Sciences.
Between sessions at the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), Project Pericles covered three major initiatives and highlighted the work more than 10 Periclean campuses this January. Sharing insights and resources from our initiatives is an important aspect of our work.
The Mellon Foundation made a $500,000 commitment to Project Pericles to support a Periclean Faculty Leadership (PFL)™ Program in the Humanities.
