Debating for Democracy (D4D) 2012 National Conference

On March 22 and 23, 2012, student leaders from each of the 29 participating Periclean colleges and universities attended the 2012 D4D National Conference at The New School in New York City. The conference consisted of workshops, keynote addresses, and panel discussions that introduced the students to leading figures in civic engagement, education, environment, politics, public policy, and social entrepreneurship. One of the activities at the national conference was the legislative hearing, which gave five finalist student teams the opportunity to discuss their policy ideas with a panel of current and former government officials.
